Our Research

Our Mission

At the Portland Urban Coyote Project, our mission is to understand how people and coyotes interact and to help the community learn about our coyote neighbors.
We achieve our mission by:
  1. Collecting, mapping, and analyzing coyote sightings in the Portland metropolitan area and sharing the results with the scientific community and general public
  2. Providing free, accessible, and evidence-based information about living with coyotes
